These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of FlaskTrack ("FlaskTrack", "Service", "we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Overview
FlaskTrack is a cloud-hosted laboratory operations platform that may include protocol management, workflow management, sample tracking, batch management, compliance documentation, audit logging, reporting, analytics, document storage, artificial intelligence assisted features, and related laboratory data management functionality.
The Service is intended for scientific, research, educational, quality assurance, manufacturing, and laboratory operations use cases.
2. Account Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into binding agreements and authorized to act on behalf of your organization if using the Service in a business, educational, or institutional capacity.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and all activity occurring under your account.
3. Customer Data Ownership
Customer Data includes, but is not limited to:
- Protocols
- Workflows
- Samples
- Batch records
- Compliance records
- Audit documentation
- Research data
- Uploaded files
- Reports
- Laboratory documentation
- Scientific notes
- Associated metadata
FlaskTrack acquires no ownership rights, intellectual property rights, publication rights, patent rights, or commercialization rights in Customer Data.
4. License to Operate the Service
You grant FlaskTrack a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to store, process, transmit, display, backup, and otherwise handle Customer Data solely for purposes of operating and maintaining the Service.
This license terminates when Customer Data is deleted or the account relationship ends, subject to backup retention periods.
5. Confidentiality
FlaskTrack will use commercially reasonable measures to protect Customer Data from unauthorized disclosure.
Customer Data will not be disclosed except:
- At customer direction
- To authorized subprocessors
- As required by law
- To investigate abuse or security incidents
6. AI & Machine Learning Usage
FlaskTrack does not use customer data, uploaded files, research information, protocols, workflows, laboratory records, personal information, or organizational information to train:
- Large language models
- Machine learning models
- Artificial intelligence systems
- Foundation models
- Generative AI systems
Customer data is not sold, licensed, syndicated, or repurposed for training datasets.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Distribute malware or malicious software
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems
- Interfere with platform operations
- Perform denial of service activities
- Host unlawful or fraudulent content
- Reverse engineer protected portions of the Service
8. Security
FlaskTrack employs commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards including:
- Encrypted connections (TLS)
- Password hashing
- Role-based permissions
- Audit logging
- Infrastructure monitoring
- Access controls
No system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Availability & Maintenance
FlaskTrack is provided on a commercially reasonable efforts basis.
Maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, emergency actions, security remediation, and third-party outages may affect availability.
10. Backups & Disaster Recovery
FlaskTrack may maintain backups of customer information.
Customers remain responsible for retaining copies of information deemed critical to their operations.
11. Data Portability
Customers may export information available through the Service while accounts remain active.
FlaskTrack will not intentionally prevent reasonable access to customer-owned information.
12. Regulatory Compliance Disclaimer
Use of the Service does not automatically establish compliance with:
- FDA regulations
- GLP
- GMP
- GCP
- CLIA
- CAP
- ISO standards
- Local laboratory regulations
Customers remain solely responsible for their own compliance obligations.
13. Scientific Accuracy Disclaimer
FlaskTrack stores and organizes information supplied by users.
FlaskTrack does not validate:
- Scientific conclusions
- Experimental methodology
- Protocol correctness
- Research outcomes
- Laboratory results
Customers remain responsible for scientific decisions and outcomes.
14. Third Party Services
FlaskTrack may rely upon third-party providers including:
- DigitalOcean
- Stripe
- Email delivery providers
- Customer-configured AI providers
Third-party service interruptions may affect availability.
15. Fees & Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance according to the selected plan.
Failure to maintain payment may result in suspension or termination of Service access.
16. Suspension & Termination
Customers may discontinue use of the Service at any time.
FlaskTrack may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent activity
- Security threats
- Abusive platform usage
- Non-payment
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlaskTrack shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.
Total liability shall not exceed amounts paid by Customer during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
18. Indemnification
Customer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FlaskTrack and its affiliates from claims arising from:
- Customer Data
- Violation of these Terms
- Regulatory violations
- Customer misuse of the Service
19. Changes To These Terms
FlaskTrack may update these Terms periodically.
Continued use of the Service after publication of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
